Diplomat plates, it also had a sticker to a German car dealership. What is this pretty cool (and stick) Audi?

It's an A3 3-door. If the mirrors are metal finish instead of body color (I can't tell with the glare) then S3.

Since that's Dulles, it was probably shipped over from Europe along with its owner. Diplomats can drive non-US-legal cars here with their diplomat tags.

Growing up in the DC area myself, we had neighbors who worked for the Zimbabwean consulate. They and their friends all drove RHD Mercedes 190Es.

yeah I'm very familiar with diplomat cars, just not this one.

I don't think it was an S3 because it didn't feature a quad exhaust and there was no other external badging but then again I didn't even know what it was to begin with haha!

very different looking than the A3 5-door. I don't think it was an S3 though, no quad exhaust + no badging.

S3 didn't have quad tips. Lack of body kit says A3 though

Yeah the A3 is available as a 3-door in most of the rest of the world.

The taillights tell me it's an '03-'07.

The S3 doesn't have quad exhausts.

yeah I understand the whole mirror part, I love me some B8 S4! As another person pointed out it doesn't have the S3 body kit. The tail lights were what threw me off!

Dulles Diplomat Parking is the $hit. There was an R63 and C63 Coupe parked next to eachother last time I was there - both Matte Grey. I had pics on my phone, which of course was stolen about 2 days after I snapped the photo.

Yeah, if I turned around from where i was standing when I took this picture I'd be staring at M5's, E63 AMG's, C63's, M3's, TONS of S4/5/6/7/8's, 10+ 911's, and a bunch of Astons/maseratis.

It's pretty cool that we don't see these in the US.

v10 R8's are a common sight in my area, nothing too special anymore.
